Duda arrived to cheer us up
Duda , a Yorkshire Terrier came into my life at a very difficult time. Recovering from brain aneurysm surgery and having lost Junior, my poodle dog, to a hit-and-run, my existence felt rather sad and colorless.
Sensitive to my suffering, my husband Jaime decided to give me a pet. Living with Duda, which was an explosion of energy and disposition, brought me the courage and will to face new challenges. The bonds created with Duda changed my life for the better. She helped me a lot and became a member of the family; our children Adrian and Karen adored her. With a strong personality and a lot of joy, he lived with us for 10 years until he got sick and died in 2013.
After his death, I decided it was time to tell my personal story and hers in a trilogy of books; “Yorkshore Dud”.
By transforming my grief into an exercise in creativity, I managed to fulfill the dream of publishing my books and giving a new direction to my life at 54, which made me a happier and more fulfilled human being.
